During these early years, 11 locals were chartered with the IBEW as energy and utility workers organized across New York:
Shortly after the formation of these 11 locals, System Council U7 was formed to unify the governing bodies of the locals representing the working body of NYSEG.
More than a half-century after their formation, Local 83 was chartered due to the amalgamation of Locals 945, 951, 961, 992, 994, 1111, 1125, and 1126.
Nearly a decade ago Local 10 was chartered due to unification of Locals 83, 249, 966, and 1143.
Today, Local 10 continues to work for more than 1,600 energy and utility workers across the state.
